The feeling of mystery and slight horror of this image is created through a subtle play of light and dark. Artwork appreciates the beauty of a black woman. Different, specific features that are often in the contrast with individual’s standards are challenge to accept and tolerate one another. The hair in the shape of leaves in yellow and orange hues are in sharp contrast with a background color (black) and a woman's face (blue). The painting was inspired by several visits to Africa and meeting the people with many different attitudes. Painted with mixed media on cardboard, 70x110cm.
